Underlining the need for waging a war for protection of child rights across the globe, the Chief Minister said that Satyarthi would emerge as a lighthouse to inspire millions of others to join hands for this common cause.  

Chandigarh, October 10, 2014: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today felicitated Indian child right activist Kailash Satyarthi for getting the coveted Noble peace prize 2014.
In a congratulatory message, the Chief Minister said that Satyarthi has made every Indian feel proud by his rare feet. He said that it was a great honor for all of us that Satyarthi has been selected for this rare award for his relentless struggle against the oppression of children and young people. Underlining the need for waging a war for protection of child rights across the globe, the Chief Minister said that Satyarthi would emerge as a lighthouse to inspire millions of others to join hands for this common cause.
