Punjab CM to attend office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week

Chandigarh, May 28, 2014: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has decided that he would attend the office at least three days during a week, on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the quick and effective disposal of the official work.  
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Badal also directed the senior officers and Heads of the departments to remain present in their offices during these days for immediate and effective resolution of grievances/issues as may be raised by the general public or being brought to his notice in the meetings.
The Chief Minister also called upon his cabinet colleagues to be present in their respective offices during these appointed days, the spokesman added.  
Reiterating the firm commitment of the state government to provide prompt and hassle free delivery of services to the general public, the Chief Minister asked all the officers/officials to attend their offices from 9 am to 5 pm on all working days.   Badal also impressed upon them to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, honesty and professional commitment in the public interest. He also asked them to maintain decorum and punctuality in offices to win over the confidence of the general public. Likewise, the Chief Minister also called upon all the officers/ officials across the state to maintain regularity in their offices in the larger public interest to serve the masses with utmost zeal and sincerity.
