Chandigarh, February 18, 2014: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today approved the allotment of additional land of 1.50 acre for the expansion of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) at sector 77 in SAS Nagar (Mohali).
A decision to this effect was taken by the Chief Minister after clearing the proposal mooted by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) during a meeting with the Secretary Housing and Urban Development A Venuprasad to immediately allot the land for creating additional facilities/ infra structure for the cadets undergoing training here at this prestigious institute for recruitment as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces.
It might be recalled that the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) had already allotted 8.44 acre land for the existing infra structure over the AFPI.
Likewise, the Chief Minister also gave his nod to allot six acres land owned by GMADA for setting up Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for Girls in sector 66 SAS Nagar (Mohali).   //punjab news live, punjab news online, punjab news, punjab news headlines, punjab breaking news, india news, punjab news, world news,
