They told that AIBEA, on December 5 last year had released the list of top 50 bad loan accounts. They said, “While Government is also alarmed and concerned about the huge increase in bad loans in the Banks, no effective measures have been taken by the Government to recover these loans.”

They said AIBEA has now published the list of top 400 bank loan defaulters. They released the list at the press conference and distributed copies of the list amongst the media persons.

They asked why these loans are not coming back and who is responsible and accountable. They said i the Bank Executives have given the name, let there be a probe and if there is a political nexus, let it come out.  Country should not be for somebody’s default.  People should not be punished for corporate default, they asserted.
