Punjab b Himachal by 7 wickets (VJD method) in Elite GROUP-C league match of Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021-22 

The match was played at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
Chandigarh / Mohali, November 1, 2021: Punjab State Women’s Senior One Day Team had played their second Inter- Nov State match for Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021-22 against Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.
Punjab won the toss and elected to field first.  Batting first Himachal Women’s bundled out for 147in 49.3 overs. S.M Singh 33 off 59 with three boundaries and one six and Kashish H Verma 29 off 50 with two boundaries were the main run getters for HPCA. Mehal Kesar 3 for 22, Komalpreet Kaur 2 for 38 and Kanika Ahuja 2 for 14 were the most successful wicket takers for PCA.
Replying Punjab CA was playing at 119 for 3 wickets in 41 overs, due to rain the match was interrupted and couldn’t start again. Using VJD Method Punjab senior women’s team declared winners and won the match by 7 wickets. Skipper Tania Bhatia 44 off 117 with three boundaries and Kanika Ahuja 33 off 50 with five boundaries were the highest run getters for Punjab CA. Punjab State Women’s Senior One Day Team had played their first Inter-State match for Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021-22 against Andhra Cricket Association Alur Cricket Stadium, Bangalore in which Punjab had  won the match by a huge margin of 80 runs .
Next Match in the league will be played on  04 November 2021, 09:00 IST, Alur Cricket Stadium II, Bangalore in between teams of Bengal v Punjab.
