Punjab asks technical institutions to send proposals for PG Scholarship

Chandigarh, August 27, 2013: The Punjab government has asked All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved government and aided technical institutes in the state to send proposals for grant of Post Graduate Scholarship for the 2nd year students admitted in the session 2012-13 with valid GATE/GPAT score in M.E/M.Tech/M Pharma Programmes.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of the Punjab government said that the application form in the prescribed format along with Annexure 1 to 7 is provided on AICTE website http;//www.aicte-india.org/badvertisement.htm.
He further said that the last date of receipt of proposals in the council is 30th august, 2013. No online application is required for students admitted in 2012-13. He said that the proposals for student admitted in the current academic year 2013-14 would have to be sent separately after necessary notification is issued by AICTE.
He said that complete proposal with required documents may be forwarded to Advisor (RIFD) AICTE, 4TH Floor, East Tower, NBCC Place, Bhisham Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.
The spokesman said that all eligible institutes have been directed to avail the scholarship for immediate implementation.
