Punjab and Chandigarh Branch of Indian Psychiatry Society organises a CME ‘PUNCIPS’

CME based on theme ‘ ‘Psychometric Evaluations in General Psychiatry’

Ludhiana, December 16, 2017: Punjab and Chandigarh Branch of Indian Psychiatry Society today organized a CME ‘PUNCIPS’ which was attended by a wide gathering of psychiatrists from all over the region. A CME was based on the theme ‘ ‘Psychometric Evaluations in General Psychiatry’ and was formally inaugurated by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta. Also present on the inaugural ceremony were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Medical Supdt Dr Sandeep Sharma, office bearers of Indian Psychiatry Society and Dr Manoj Sobti, Member, Punjab Medical Council and Dr Ranjive Mahajan.

Organizing Chairperson- Dr Navkiran Mahajan extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and participating delegates. In her address, Dr Mahajan said that organizing of CME provides an opportunity for psychiatrists to enhance their clinical and academic skills.

Organizing Secretary-Dr Rupsesh Chaudhary said that the theme of ‘Psychometric Evaluations’ in the field of Psychiatry is of vital importance as Psychometric tests are a standard and scientific method used to measure individuals' mental capabilities and behavioural style, informed Dr Chaudhary

Scientific sessions held during the conference touched various ineterseting topics pertaining to ‘Procedure to issue Disability Certificate’, ‘Assessment in Dementia’, ‘Advances in personality assessment and their application’, ‘Clinical Assessment of SLD’ and variousother important topics

Joint Organizing Secretary- Dr Pankaj Kumar proposed a vote of thanks to all the participating delegates and acknowledged their active participation in the CME.
