Chandigarh, January 16, 2014: National Immunization Days would be conducted on 19th Jan and 23rd Feb 2014 covering all the children in the age group 0-5 years.
Disclosing this here today official spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that in no Wild Polio Virus case is reported in Punjab since 2010.
Spokesperson said that under National Immunization Day (NID) Campaign first round would be conducted 19th January 2014 under which Pulse polio campaigns would be conducted in all the districts in the state which would be monitored by state observers from DHS office and NRHM, Rotary and NPSP.
Spokesperson said that for January National Immunization Day more than 15,000 booths will be allotted and more than 30,000 house to house teams would cover 37.69 lacs children between the age of 0-5 yrs. He added that these teams will be supervised by more than 3000 supervisors.
