PUCA urges AICTE to implement uniform fee structure in entire country

Ludhiana: A meeting of National Fee Committee of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) was held virtually to review existing fees structure and fix norms and guidelines for charging tuition and other fees. On behalf of Council, AICTE, Adviser, Prof. Dileep N. Malkhede; Justice Sh. B. N. Srikrishna, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India & Regional Officer, AICTE, Sh. R.K. Soni, were present in this meeting.
 
From Punjab, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association was represented by, Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, (PUCA) & Chairman Aryans Group of Colleges while a representation of Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association (PUTIA) was done by Dr. Brijeshwar Singh, Member, PUTIA.
 
On this platform, Dr. Kataria urged AICTE to implement uniform fee structure in all the colleges of entire country. He also raised the issue of pending Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) amounting RS 1850 Crores of around 1600 unaided colleges of Punjab, which has not been disbursed since last  4       years.
 
In this meeting various representatives including Association of self-funded, Haryana; Association of Gazetted officer, Delhi; Education Promotion society for India, Punjab; Rajasthan Engineering Colleges society, Rajasthan; Association of Institute for Management Technology & Education, Uttar Pradesh; U.P Technical Institutions foundations, Uttar Pradesh; Bihar Private Technical & Professional Association, Bihar; Rajasthan Polytechnic college teachers Association, Rajasthan etc were present.
