Public Washroom Inaugurated at Nauni Varsity under UCO Bank CSR Initiative
A public washroom constructed under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of UCO Bank was inaugurated today at Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni.
A public washroom constructed under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of UCO Bank was inaugurated today at Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni.
The facility, built at a cost of ₹8.5 lakh, was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel, along with Ajaya Panigrahi, AGM Solan. The UCO Bank delegation also included Nauni branch Manager Sandeep Sehroy and Senior Manager Ramesh Thakur.
Located near the university’s shopping complex-an area frequently visited by students and the general public—the facility has been designed to cater to a wide range of users. The bank contributed ₹8.5 lakh towards the project. The washrooms include separate sections for men and women. The design and construction of the facility were carried out by the university’s Estate Organization.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Chandel expressed his gratitude to UCO Bank for supporting the development of essential public infrastructure. He appreciated the bank’s continued collaboration with the university and its commitment to community welfare. He also acknowledged the bank’s role in providing financial services to the university.
Ajaya Panigrahi highlighted the bank’s ongoing CSR initiatives and reiterated its commitment to supporting meaningful social projects. He also expressed interest in strengthening future collaborations with the university for the benefit of the wider community.
The event was attended by statutory officers of the university, who acknowledged and appreciated the bank’s valuable contribution.
