PU zonal youth and heritage festival enters the second day

Ludhiana, September 26, 2019: After the zealous commencement of the PU Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival – Ludhiana Zone-B at Ramgarhia Girls College, the festival entered the second day with equal gusto and verve.
Dr.Narinder Sandhu, Former Principal, Ramgarhia Girls College and Dr.R.S.Jhanji, Principal A.S.College Khanna were the Chief Guests.
The college Principal, Dr Inderjit Kaur, Ranjodh Singh, President, Gurcharan Singh Lotey, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council extended a cheerful welcome to the distinguished guests. Thereafter, the students of the PG Department of Music Vocal rendered a shabad exquisitely. The varied competitions that marked the day were - Indian Orchestra, Instrumental Music (Percussion and Non-Percussion,) Folk Orchestra, Folk Instrumental, Guddian Patole Making, Chhikku Making, Pranda Making, Naala Making, Tokri Making, Eennu Making, Rassa Vattna, Peerhi Making, Khiddo Making, Mitti De Khidaune Poem Recitation, Debate and Elocution, Muhavredar Vartalaap. All the participants exhibited their creativity enthusiastically.
Senate members Prof. Rajesh Gill, Prof. Kesahv Malhotra, Prof. Pradeep Goyal, Dr. Parminder Singh, Director Sports P.U, Chd, Swarnjit Sawi, Jasmer Singh, Principal Kirandeep Kaur, K.K. Sharma and Harish Kumar Verma were honored on stage by the Principal Dr.Inderjit Kaur. Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director of the Dept. of Youth Welfare PU acclaimed the winners and lauded the hard work of participants.
Principal, Dr Inderjit Kaur, exalted all the winners and praised their tireless efforts that they have put into to win the neck to neck competition.
Ranjodh Singh also gave his best wishes to the participants who had clinched prizes at the festival and the ones who gave them a tough competition. He further said that such platforms make one awed by the amount of talent that young people possess.
Gurcharan Singh Lotey admired all the participants for making their presence felt on the festival. Along with the theme of “Apna Mul Pachan” that is “recognize your inner being”, and as per the instruction of Vice Chancellor of Panjab University, Prof. Raj Kumar, the message of saving the environment and saying no to plastic items, Ramgarhia Girls College minimized the usage of plastic items during the festival and set an example to make the environment plastic free.
