PU Vice Chancellor Releases Poster For Admission
UG admissions start from today; PG admissions to start from June 10
Chandigarh, June 2, 2026: Panjab University will open its online portal for undergraduate and certificate courses from Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at ugadmissions.puchd.ac.in, while the portal for postgraduate, diploma, advanced diploma and postgraduate diploma courses will open from June 10, 2026 at onlineadmissions.puchd.ac.in.
Interested candidates, including those who have already applied for entrance tests scheduled between April and June 2026, are also required to submit online admission forms for all undergraduate courses by July 1, 2026 and for postgraduate courses by July 21, 2026, irrespective of the declaration of qualifying examination or entrance test results.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig today released the poster for admission for the 2026-27 academic session in presence of Dean of University Instruction Prof. Meenakshi Goyal, Director Research and Development Cell Prof. Savita Gupta and a number of senior officers and academics of the University.
Admissions to engineering programmes of PU will be conducted on the basis of JEE-2026 through the Joint Admission Committee portal. The programmes include B.E. courses in Food Technology, Chemical, Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, besides Integrated B.E. (Chemical)-MBA at PU. Engineering programmes are also being offered at PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur.
The University will also conduct admissions through PU-CET (PG) for programmes including M.Sc. courses in sciences and interdisciplinary fields, M.Tech Instrumentation, M.Com (Hons), MBAfEX, MCA, LL.M., M.P.Ed., B.P.Ed. and M.A. programmes including English, Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Geography, History and Social Work.
Admissions to the three-year LL.B. course will be based on PG-LAW Entrance Test for the Department of Laws, PU; PURC, Ludhiana; PURC, Muktsar; PUSSGRC Hoshiarpur.
NCET-2026 scores will be considered for B.A. B.Ed. programmes offered by IETVE, PU.
Several courses including M.A. History of Art, Gandhian and Peace Studies, Indian Theatre, Music, Police Administration, M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology and B.Ed. Special Education will admit students through aptitude tests.
PU has also announced admissions for a number of programmes including M.Pharm, M.Tech, M.E., M.Ed., M.A. programmes in Humanities and Social Sciences, B.A. (Hons.) Economics, B.A. (Hons.) PU-ISSER, Library Sciences and various postgraduate diploma courses.
Admissions are also open at PU Regional Centre, Muktsar and Department of Evening Studies-Multidisciplinary Research Centre for various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Candidates seeking admission in evening courses have been asked to submit either an employer certificate or self-employment declaration.
Admissions will be through offline admission forms for PURC Kauni, PUSSGRC Hoshiarpur, PURC Muktsar and VVBIS & IS Hosharipur.
PU has advised students to fill maximum subject preferences due to limited seats, stating that final allocation will be done strictly on merit.
Candidates applying under the sports category have been directed to submit relevant certificates and documents at the office of Campus Sports, PU, Chandigarh before the last date for submission of admission forms.
