Chandigarh, September 19, 2019: ‘Recognize Your Inner Being’ is the theme of forthcoming PU Youth Festival, the logo of which was unveiled by Prof.Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
He said that these festivals are organized to expose the hidden talent and power of youth. Wishing a golden future to the youth, PU VC said that youth is full of energy which should be utilized for bringing improvement of the nation. Prof. Kumar urged the organizers to spread the message of save environment of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji during these festivals by banning the use of plastic.
Dr Nirmal Jaura, Director Youth Welfare informed that the Zonal Youth Festival of Panjab University will commence during the last week of the September’ 2019. Govt College for Girls, Sector 42 Chandigarh will host the all items of girls and Govt. College of Commerce & Business Administration, Sector-50, Chandigarh will host the festival of co-educational colleges of Chandigarh Zone.
Dr. Jaura further explained that all the affiliated colleges of Panjab University are divided into twelve zones, where music, theatre, dance, fine arts, literary items and heritage items will be competed.
The convener of Panjab University Inter Zonal Youth & Heritage Festival Dr. Narinder Singh Sidhu, Principal, Guru Nanak National College, Doraha thanked the Vice Chancellor during his welcome address for the trust shown by owing such a big responsibility. Dr. Sidhu openly invited all the Principals and teachers to attend this mega festival.
During this occasion Dr Parminder Singh, Director Sports, Conveners of Zonal and Inter Zonal Festivals and Principal Dr. Paramjit Singh, Principal Dr Inderjeet Kaur, Principal Dr Preet Mohinder Singh, Principal Dr Binu Dogra, Principal Nisha Aggarwal, Principal Dr Kuldeep Kaur Dhaliwal, Principal Dr Surjeet Singh Sidhu, Principal Dr Sushila Narang, Prof. Ajay Rana, Prof Mandeep Kaur and Prof Harmeet Kaur were present.
