School of Communication Studies today organised "Swaraanjali", a poetry and storytelling competition on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. Dr Rekha Mittal and Vivek Saini graced the occasion as the chief guests and judges for the event.

Chandigarh, September 14, 2026: School of Communication Studies today organised "Swaraanjali", a poetry and storytelling competition on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. Dr Rekha Mittal and Vivek Saini graced the occasion as the chief guests and judges for the event.
With over 15 participants, poems and stories from various genres were recited and shared with audience. What started with the participants reciting their love for the Hindi language, was followed with themes of love, longing, and trust.
Dr Rekha Mittal shared her insights on each performance by the participants and narrated her own poems. Vikas Saini further reminisced his student life at School of Communication Studies and shared his journey as a writer, actor, and linguistic coach to actors for movies like Kesari and Jersey. He also shared his short stories which earned a loud applause from the audience.
Swaraanjali also witnessed Prof Archana R Singh, chairperson of the School of Communication Studies, sharing her thoughts on the Hindi language and her stories with the students. The event ended with Garima Joshi getting the first prize, Sukriti with the second and Shreya Jaiswal securing the third prize in the competition.
