PU Rose Festival Concludes with Valedictory Ceremony
Chandigarh MC Commissioner Calls for Collective Efforts to Boost Chandigarh’s Swachhata Ranking
Chandigarh, February 9, 2026: The 15th Panjab University Rose Festival concluded on a vibrant note on Sunday evening with a valedictory function attended by Amit Kumar, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest.
Prof. Y. P. Verma, Registrar, Panjab University; Prof. Y. K. Rawal, Dean Student Welfare; and Prof. Namita Gupta, Dean Student Welfare (Women), were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Amit Kumar urged residents to work together to make Chandigarh a top-ranked city in the Swachhata rankings. He also informed the audience about the introduction of a monthly parking pass facility for the convenience of citizens.
PU Registrar Prof. Y. P. Verma appreciated the efforts of the organisers and noted the overwhelming response received during the festival.
The Chief Guest felicitated volunteers and individuals who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
The evening concluded with the Mr and Ms Rose Fashion Competition, which drew a large audience and added colour and enthusiasm to the celebrations.
