Chandigarh, 26 February 2026: Panjab University, Chandigarh Registrar Prof. Y.P. Verma visited Panjab University Rural Centre Kauni and assured full institutional support for strengthening academic and infrastructural standards at the rural campus.
During an interactive session with students, faculty and non teaching staff, Prof. Verma reviewed campus functioning and discussed key ground level challenges specific to rural higher education. He emphasised the need to maintain high quality standards in teaching and research, and called for sustained academic rigour.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Verma proposed practical measures to improve academic delivery, research output and administrative efficiency. He stated that the University authorities would extend all possible assistance to ensure that students and staff do not face operational difficulties.
