Chandigarh, September 10, 2026: The Department of Political Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised an Orientation Programme on to welcome its newly admitted students.
Professor Emerita Pam Rajput and Professor Emeritus Bhupinder Brar graced the occasion as distinguished guests and esteemed alumni of the Department.
Professor Navjot, Chairperson of the Department, addressed the new students, introduced them to the newly implemented National Education Policy (NEP) syllabus and its key features, and encouraged them to make the most of the academic opportunities offered under the revised curriculum.
As part of the orientation, the Department introduced the newly admitted students to various clubs and student forums. These included the Lyceum Club, ELC Club, Eco-Pol Club, Movie Club, Academic Forum, Creative Collective and Political Science Digest.
The programme also included an introduction to the faculty members and their respective academic areas, along with an interactive session with research scholars who shared their academic journeys within the Department. An engaging ice-breaking session involving juniors and seniors added a lively dimension to the event.
The programme concluded on a positive note, extending a warm welcome to the new students and helping them connect with their seniors and teachers.
