PU organises event on World Read Aloud Day

Chandigarh, February 4, 2026: The Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University (PU) today organised an event on World Read Aloud Day. Professors, students and research scholars were welcomed by the Department Representative (DR), Sakshi. She briefed about the theme of the event and explained the history behind World Read Aloud Day.
Dr. Khushpreet Singh Brar, Chairperson of the department, addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of reading and learning among people. Students of BLib and MLib participated in the event and recited poems and proses out loud to promote this year’s theme “Celebrate learning”. The event was a great success with high and enthusiastic participation.
