PU NSS organises Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Panjab University, organised the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme at the P.L. Anand Auditorium, Panjab University, on the theme “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.” The programme aimed to inspire and sensitise youth towards contributing to a developed and drug-free India.

Chandigarh, 17 August 2026: The National Service Scheme (NSS), Panjab University, organised the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme at the P.L. Anand Auditorium, Panjab University, on the theme “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.” The programme aimed to inspire and sensitise youth towards contributing to a developed and drug-free India.
The programme was attended by PU Registrar Prof. Y.P. Verma; Dean Student Welfare (Women) Prof. Namita Gupta; Ankush Nijjawan, RD Office, Chandigarh; and Dr. Raj, Nasha Mukt Warrior.
Youth Icon Preeti Kalra delivered an inspiring address on Viksit Bharat, urging students to realise their potential and actively contribute to nation-building. Dr. Raj sensitised participants on the harmful effects of substance abuse and emphasised the role of youth in creating a drug-free society.
A key highlight of the programme was the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to a drug-free and healthy lifestyle and pledged to encourage others to do the same.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Anupam Bahri, Programme Coordinator, NSS, Panjab University, with support from NSS Programme Officers Dr. Anurag, Dr. Vivek Kapoor, Dr. Kiran Bhandra, and Dr. Alok Pathak, along with NSS volunteers.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anupam Bahri, who expressed gratitude to the guests, speakers, NSS Programme Officers, volunteers, and participants.
