PU Hosts DAAD Outreach Program to Strengthen Academic Collaboration with Germany

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) delegation visited Panjab University(PU) to expand international academic cooperation and build new avenues of collaboration between India and Germany. The DAAD delegates Apoorv Mahendru and Aditi Gosavi met the Panjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig to highlight the research opportunities, bilateral exchange programs, and institutional partnerships for PU teachers and researchers.

Chandigarh, September 5, 2025: The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) delegation visited Panjab University(PU) to expand international academic cooperation and build new avenues of collaboration between India and Germany. The DAAD delegates Apoorv Mahendru and Aditi Gosavi met the Panjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig to highlight the research opportunities, bilateral exchange programs, and institutional partnerships for PU teachers and researchers.

Presiding over the session, Prof Renu Vig encouraged faculty members to actively explore the diverse opportunities for international research and academic collaborations with Germany. PU Dean of University Instruction, Prof. Yojna Rawat also motivated the faculty to apply for scholarships and fellowships to further strengthen Indo-German academic ties.

During the meeting, DAAD delegation highlighted academic and project-based opportunities in Germany for professors, scientists, and researchers, including bilateral exchange programs, short-term lectureships, teaching engagements, and collaborative research projects.

The two sides discussed on collaborative opportunities to strengthen PU's global linkages and fostering internationalisation in higher education.

The event was coordinated by PU Dean, International Students, Prof. Kewal Krishan. It was attended by senior faculty members across Science, Engineering, and Humanities including Prof. Ravi Inder Singh, Prof. Amarjit Naura, Prof. Satwinder Kaur, Prof. Anupma Sharma, Prof. Seema Vinayak, Prof. Sukhwinder Singh, Prof. Vipin Bhatnagar, Dr. Smita Sharma, and Dr. Ravinder Kumar.
