PU Holds Condolence Meetings at Boys Hostel No. 4, and UILS to mourn Chaitanya’s untimely demise
Panjab University, Chandigarh today organised two condolence meetings at Boys Hostel No. 4 and University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) to mourn the untimely demise of Chaitanya, a final-year student of the UILS and resident of Boys Hostel no. 4.
Chandigarh, September 1, 2026: Panjab University, Chandigarh today organised two condolence meetings at Boys Hostel No. 4 and University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) to mourn the untimely demise of Chaitanya, a final-year student of the UILS and resident of Boys Hostel no. 4.
The condolence meetings were held as a mark of respect and solidarity with the bereaved family and to offer prayers for the departed soul. The gathering concluded with observation of two minutes silence.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Boys Hostel No. 4, under the aegis of the Dean Student Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a Condolence Meeting to mourn the untimely demise of Chaitanya, a resident of the hostel.
Hostel residents, university officials and staff members expressed their profound grief and heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of their fellow resident.
The occasion was attended by Prof. Y. K. Rawal, Dean Student Welfare; Prof. Namita Gupta, Dean Student Welfare (Women); Prof. Kashmir Singh, Associate Dean Student Welfare; and Mr. Ankit Bidhan, President, Panjab University Student Council, who joined the hostel residents and university staff in paying their respects to the departed soul.
Dr. Naveen Kumar, Warden, BH-4, along with the hostel staff and residents, also expressed their deepest condolences and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
Faculty members and students of UILS expressed their heartfelt condolences and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul at the department.
