PU faculty member co-edited new book
Panjab University faculty member Dr Indu Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology and Warden of Kasturba Hall (Girls Hostel No. 4), has co-edited a new book titled Exploring Non-Invasive Disease Biomarkers with Urinary Omics Analysis, published by Elsevier (Academic Press).

Chandigarh, 7 August 2025: Panjab University faculty member Dr Indu Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology and Warden of Kasturba Hall (Girls Hostel No. 4), has co-edited a new book titled Exploring Non-Invasive Disease Biomarkers with Urinary Omics Analysis, published by Elsevier (Academic Press). The book is jointly edited by Dr Arup Giri (Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak), Dr Indu Sharma, and Dr Rani Ojha (PGIMER, Chandigarh).
PU Vice Chancellor Professor Renu Vig, congratulated the editors for this achievement, stating that the publication brings pride to the university and adds value to scientific research in the field of disease biomarkers.
The book focuses on recent developments in non-invasive biomarker research through urinary omics analysis. It highlights technologies and methods used in identifying biomarkers for conditions such as kidney diseases, metabolic syndromes, and infections.
