PU DLIS organises 18th webinar on information generation, dissemination and use  

Chandigarh: 18thwebinar in the series on the theme ‘Information generation, dissemination and use during covid-19 lockdown’ through cisco webex app was  organised toady by the Department of Library and Information Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Prof. Preeti Mahajan, chairperson of the department, introduced the aim of the webinar series as continuous professional development by converting the lockdown challenges into opportunities for upgrading various skills required of the LIS profession.
Dr.Nabi Hasan ,Librarian, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi delivered the talk on “Mapping and maximizing academic visibility and impact of research output”. He emphasized on the institutional visibility for higher ranking and how we can map our research publications in a better way. He very rightly pointed out that the morale of the employees of the academic institution boosts up when their institution figures in top ranking.
Dr. Shiv Kumar delivered the Vote of Thanks. Today’s webinar was attended by about 250 attendees including LIS academicians, Library professionals, LIS researchers and students of Library and Information Science from all over the country.
