PU conducts Recruitment Drive for Ex-Servicemen
Panjab University today conducted a recruitment drive for the positions of Security Officer, Assistant Security Officer, and Security Guards, for ex-servicemen. The drive was organised at the University’s Sports Ground, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from eligible candidates.

Chandigarh, July 24, 2025: Panjab University today conducted a recruitment drive for the positions of Security Officer, Assistant Security Officer, and Security Guards, for ex-servicemen. The drive was organised at the University’s Sports Ground, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from eligible candidates.
The recruitment process commenced with verification of original documents. Candidates who fulfilled basic medical parameters such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and other health indicators were permitted to proceed with the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
The drive was conducted under the supervision of a committee comprising Dr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Dean Student Welfare and Welfare (ADSW); Sh. Tajender Singh (Retd. SD-OSD); Sh. Vikram Singh, Chief of University Security (CUS); Smt. Ritu Sharma, Assistant Registrar (Establishment); and university coaches Mr. Dinesh and Mr. Hansraj.
A total of 71 candidates appeared for the recruitment process, including 8 for the post of Security Officer, 2 for Assistant Security Officer, and 61 for Security Guards.
Candidates, who qualify in the physical tests, will be invited for interviews scheduled to be held on July 31, 2025, at the Administrative Block, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
