Admission in Ph.D. Programme in DCEDS, PU In the Department of Community Education and Disability Studies(DCEDS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, some seats are vacant for admission in Ph.D. Programme. Those students who have qualified UGC NET/UGC JRF in Education and P.U. Entrance Test in Community Education and Disability Studies may approach to the Chairperson, Department of Community Education and Disability Studies for admission in Ph.D. Programme. ---0--- "Plastic free July 2019" celebrated The Department of Biochemistry, Panjab University celebrated "Plastic free July 2019" by carrying out various outreach activities and awareness campaign at the GSSS Khuda Lahora. Prof. Archana Bhatnagar, Chairperson, highlighted that nearly ten billion plastic has been produced globally and ninety percent of that has never been recycled! This triggered the students of the department to meet school children so as to make them aware of harmful impact of plastic on environment by encouraging them to refuse plastic to create a clean and green city. The school children participated actively and promised to consciously work to reduce single-use items. This was done by way of quiz, sensitization of girl students towards biodegradable sanitary napkins which were also donated to the underprivileged girls by students.
