PTC Sunaria unveils roadmap to build future-ready police force

Rohtak, September 15, 2026: The Police Training College (PTC), Sunaria, is set to revamp its training approach to equip personnel for emerging policing challenges, IG PTC Ashok Kumar, IPS, said during a high-level meeting on Monday.
The meeting was held to review training arrangements for the new Lower School Course batch that began on September 14. SP PTC Dhyan Singh, IPS, and all inspectors of the training centre attended the meeting.
IG Ashok Kumar reviewed accommodation, training facilities, drinking water, sanitation and other basic amenities being provided to trainees. He directed officials to ensure quality training along with better facilities, with modern policing requirements given priority.
He stressed that police training should go beyond immediate operational needs and prepare personnel to handle responsibilities over the next 30 years.
“Discipline, professional competence, technological understanding and a strong commitment to public service are essential for building a modern police force,” he said, adding that preparing a capable and future-ready force remains a key objective of PTC.
