PSCPCR Chairperson Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa Launches Aas Ehsaas’ KYCR Initiative in Ludhiana
Aas Ehsaas Welfare Society organized an Educational Awareness Lecture under its flagship initiative “KYCR – Know Your Child’s Rights” during the Mega Parent–Teacher Meeting at Government High School, Jawaddi, Ludhiana. The programme marked the state-level launch of the KYCR initiative across Punjab, aimed at promoting awareness on child rights, education, mental well-being, and social responsibility among students and parents.
Ludhiana, December 20, 2025: Aas Ehsaas Welfare Society organized an Educational Awareness Lecture under its flagship initiative “KYCR – Know Your Child’s Rights” during the Mega Parent–Teacher Meeting at Government High School, Jawaddi, Ludhiana. The programme marked the state-level launch of the KYCR initiative across Punjab, aimed at promoting awareness on child rights, education, mental well-being, and social responsibility among students and parents.
The initiative was formally launched by Gunjeet Ruchi Bawa, Vice-Chairperson, Punjab State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized the need for a safe, inclusive, and informed environment for children and highlighted the shared responsibility of parents, educators, institutions, and society in safeguarding child rights across Punjab.
Bawa also appreciated the efforts of the school leadership, including the Principal and teaching staff, for successfully organizing the programme. She reiterated that the Punjab Government, the Education Department, and the Punjab State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights are collectively committed to the protection and promotion of child rights across the state.
Eminent resource persons, including Shamsheer Pal Singh Dhillon, Advocate and Head – Legal (Corporate & Commercial Law), Saanvi Malik, Psychologist and Retired Principal, Dinesh Malik, and Sukhdev Singh, Senior Journalists, delivered informative sessions focusing on legal awareness, mental health, media responsibility, and child welfare.
The programme witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Kiran, Principal, Government High School, Jawaddi, Ludhiana; Amandeep Singh, Deputy District Education Officer (DEO); Satvinder Singh Jawaddi, Chairman, School Management Committee (SMC); Narinder Singh Mason, social activist and reformer; and Anoop Jawaddi, PA to Jawaddi, along with Sukhjit Singh, Balwinder Kaur, Ramandeep Singh, Amandeep Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, and Navneet Kaur.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from more than 550 students and over 700 parents, reflecting strong community engagement and the growing importance of structured awareness on child rights and child welfare. Active participation was also recorded from teachers, members of Aas Ehsaas Welfare Society, and representatives from the Education Department, who extended full support to the initiative.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reiterating Aas Ehsaas Welfare Society’s commitment to sustained collaboration with government institutions and civil society to ensure the protection, welfare, and holistic development of children across Punjab.
