Provision of subsidy on mushroom huts and mushroom trays under SCSP scheme: DC Sachin Gupta

Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has called upon Scheduled Caste youth of the district to adopt mushroom cultivation to enhance their income. He said that under the SCSP scheme, the government is providing subsidies to Scheduled Caste mushroom growers for setting up mushroom huts and purchasing mushroom trays.

Rohtak, January 21, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta has called upon Scheduled Caste youth of the district to adopt mushroom cultivation to enhance their income. He said that under the SCSP scheme, the government is providing subsidies to Scheduled Caste mushroom growers for setting up mushroom huts and purchasing mushroom trays.

DC Sachin Gupta said that the SCSP scheme has been implemented by the government to economically empower Scheduled Caste mushroom growers. Under the scheme, a subsidy of ₹25,500 per mushroom hut and ₹25,500 per 100 mushroom trays is being provided to Scheduled Caste mushroom growers. This scheme is especially beneficial for interested and eligible mushroom growers from the Scheduled Caste category.

The Deputy Commissioner further informed that interested and eligible persons can apply to avail benefits under this scheme. So far, applications have been received for five mushroom huts and 600 mushroom trays in the district. These include one mushroom hut and 100 mushroom trays from Rohtak block, two mushroom huts and 300 mushroom trays from Kalanaur block, and two mushroom huts and 200 mushroom trays from Lakhanmajra block. 

DC Sachin Gupta urged Scheduled Caste mushroom growers of the district to take maximum benefit of this scheme. Interested and eligible persons may contact the District Horticulture Officer or the Horticulture Development Officer at the block level for more information.
