Prominent social workers honored at 'Sewa Samman' program

Mohali, August 2, 2026: Four prominent social workers from the region were honored during a 'Sewa Samman' program at Maat-Pita Gau Dham in Khallaur village in Mohali on Sunday.
Gyan Walia, founder of the Maat-Pita Trust, said that eminent spiritual saints attended the event.
During the program, prominent social worker Ranveer Kaur, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Mohi Kalan, Patiala, who has been recognized by the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj for her special contributions to village development and cleanliness, was honored.
Renowned social worker Bobby Singh was honored for his selfless service in helping the needy and his remarkable contributions to disaster relief.
Mohan Singh Ahluwalia, a popular social worker who also serves as a state official, was honored as well.
Pawan Nehru, a social worker actively engaged in selfless community service for the past 12 years in Derabassi and Zirakpur through the 'Navjeevan Welfare Foundation' NGO, was also felicitated.
The event was attended by trustees Surnesh Singla, Kashmiri Lal Gupta, Amarjit Bansal, and Jai Gopal Bansal, along with Committee President Subhash Singla, Senior Vice President Sushil Bindal, and committee member Jeevan Babbu.
