Project “Vidyadaan”: A unique initiative by Rotary Club of Rohtak Next to promote education – 26 students will benefit

Rohtak, July 8, 2026: Taking a significant step towards social upliftment and the promotion of education, the Rotary Club of Rohtak Next organized a 'Vidyadaan' project at the Shiksha Bharti Senior Secondary School, Gohana Road. Club President Rotarian Atul Bansal, along with other office bearers and members, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Rotarian Atul Bansal stated that under this project, the club would bear the annual tuition fees for 26 needy students from the school. The beneficiaries of this scholarship include 15 boys and 11 girls. He emphasized the club's commitment to ensuring that no child is deprived of education due to financial constraints.

During the event, school students raised awareness about the increasing use of mobile phones and social media, as well as their adverse effects, through a short play. The children also presented an enchanting dance performance based on the theme "Aao School Chalein Hum". Club member Dr. Apoorv Narula shared details about the club's other social activities.

S.K. Gupta, Treasurer of the School Management Committee, and Director Sanjay Soni expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Rohtak Next for this initiative, noting that the campaign would play a crucial role in educating needy students. They honored the guests by presenting them with traditional stoles and saplings.

The event was attended by Club Secretary Kashish Bansal, Treasurer Siddhant Jain, members Dr. Apoorv Narula, Sumit Bansal, Sahil Arora, Jyoti Bansal, Rajat Bakshi, Vaibhav Jain, Akash Garg, Pritish Bansal, Mohit Jain, Siddharth Gupta, Ankur Bansal, Dr. Arjun Narula, Anu Bansal, Anshika Goyal, Geetika Jain, Anshul Goyal, Sahil Goyal, and Sajal Gupta, alongside Principal Jitendra Chawla, staff members, and students.

Winners of the drawing competition organized by the club on Doctors' Day were also awarded during the event. In the category for classes 3 to 5, Shaurya secured the first position, Preet Mala the second, and Bhudev the third. Meanwhile, in the Class 6 to 8 category, Kashvi secured the first position, Hansika the second, and Himanshi the third.
