Prof Tirthankar as Coordinator of Shankaradeva Chair of PU

Chandigarh: Professor Tirthankar Bhattacharya, Art Historian and Indologist, Chairperson department of Art History and Visual Arts, Panjab University Chandigarh has been appointed as the Coordinator of the Shrimanta Shankaradeva Chair (Academic Unit) of the Panjab University Chandigarh by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Raj Kumar.
The coveted Shrimanta  Shankaradeva Chair would be looking into extensive research and study on the New Vaishnavite Movement and contribution towards intellectual and societal development.
Professor Tirthankar Bhattacharya as the coordinator along with his member team would be initiating academic activities like webinars, lectures and art activities with special reference to Shrimanta Shankaradeva and his contributions to the society.
