Chandigarh November 14, 2022: In the recently concluded three-day National Conference held from 10-12th November, 2022 organized by The Indian Society for Parasitology in collaboration with Directorate of Centre for Animal Health Studies, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University on “Global technological advancements in the diagnosis and sustainable control of parasitic diseases” at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Prof. Sukhbir Kaur from the Dept. of Zoology, was again elected as a President of The Indian Society for Parasitology for the year 2022-2023. 

According to a release issued by Panjab University, Chandigarh today she had already completed two terms from 2017-2019 and 2019-2022. Looking into the excellent work done by her the Executive Council elected her for another year. Prof. Harpreet Kaur from the same department has been elected to the Executive Council for a period from 2022-2024.

Dr. Poonam Keshav and Shivani Thakur got the best poster prizes and Khushboo Ranaand Dr. Deepak Goyal bagged the best oral prizes from the Dept. of Zoology in different categories. Prof. Sukhbir Kaur recently also received a grant of Rs.77,56,010from Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India.
