Rohtak, February 21, 2026: Newly appointed Vice Chancellor Prof. Somnath Sachdeva formally assumed charge of his post at MDU on Saturday. His wife, Dr. Mamta Sachdeva, Registrar Dr. Krishnakant, Dean Academic Affairs Professor S.C. Malik, and other university officials were present on the occasion.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Somnath Sachdeva expressed his gratitude to the Governor and Chancellor Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and said that he would fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him with complete integrity, transparency, and commitment. He reiterated his commitment to the university's overall development, academic excellence, and research activities.
