Process of faculty elections going on strictly as per procedure and PU calendar rules: Prof YP Verma 

Chandigarh, December 9, 2022: Prof YP Verma, Registrar,  Panjab University, said that the process of faculty elections is going on strictly as per procedure and Panjab University calendar rules.  There is complete transparency in the process and the dignity and autonomy of each senator is duly maintained.  In a competitive election process it is natural to feel anxious about the propriety of the process. However, we fully assure that the higher authorities  of the University are bound to uphold the PU calendar and its legal spirit. Senators have their own wisdom and it should be respected.

Prof Sukhbir Kaur, one of the fellow and syndic stated that in the Panjab University Senate every senator is a serious academic and they understand that choosing one's faculty paves the way for their future contribution to the governing body and hence it is taken seriously by everyone. Senators should not waste their productive time  in  tarnishing the image of the University.
