Process To Apply Online For Transfers Made Easy: Dr Cheema

Chandigarh, June 23, 2015: The Punjab Government has given much needed respite to the desirous candidates of Education Department by allowing them to apply online for the transfers with only self declaration. It was disclosed by Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab in a press communiqué released here today.

Dr Cheema said that now the candidates do not have to get their applications attested from the school head or District Education Officers instead they could apply for the transfers online with self declaration only. He said that the candidates could apply from June 24 at 9 am till June 26 at 5 pm. The candidates have been given ease to apply at any time day or night. He said that the Performa for the transfer has been made so easy and simple that could be filled online after logging in to the official website www.ssapunjab.org.

The Minister said that the department has made a pre condition of minimum three years of stay at a current station before applying for the transfers. He said that this condition has been made flexible for curtain categories like unmarried/newly wedded/widows/divorced women, handicapped/blind/wives of army men and Para military jawans and   parents/husband/wife of mentally upset or patient suffering from chronically diseases.

Dr. Cheema further said that the condition of three years would not be applicable upon a candidate who wish to transferred in the schools of Kandi/Bet/Border areas and a school where the strength of the faculty less than 50%. He said that the teachers posted in such schools having less than 50% faculty could not apply for the transfers.
