Prize Distribution Ceremony of CICU Corporate T-20 Tournament 2025
The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) successfully organized the Final Match and Prize Distribution Ceremony of the S.Angad Singh Memorial – 11th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament 2025 at the CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, May 5, 2026: The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) successfully organized the Final Match and Prize Distribution Ceremony of the S.Angad Singh Memorial – 11th CICU Corporate T-20 Cricket Tournament 2025 at the CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
The final match was played between Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. and Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd. Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd. won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 99 runs in 20 overs, losing all wickets. In response, Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. delivered an impressive performance, scoring 102 runs in just 15.3 overs while losing only 2 wickets, thereby winning the match by 8 wickets.
Sanjeev Arora, Minister of Industry & Commerce and Local Bodies, Punjab was the Chief Guest and distributed trophies to the winning and runner-up teams: Vardhman Special Steels Ltd. and Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd.
On the individual performance front:
• Rikki Sharma (Vardhman Special Steels Ltd.) was declared Best Bowler for taking 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
• Robin (Navyug Namdhari Eco Drive Pvt. Ltd.) was awarded Best Batter for his innings of 46 runs off 46 balls.
• Rikki Sharma was also honored as the Best All-Rounder and Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, sponsors, participating teams, and cricket enthusiasts. He emphasized that cricket has become an integral part of India’s sporting culture and highlighted CICU’s pride in organizing the 11th edition of the Corporate T-20 Tournament. He further stated that sports like cricket help in developing social skills, discipline, intellectual growth, and creativity among participants. He also visited the ground to encourage and motivate the players.
Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU, expressed his enthusiasm for cricket and remarked that Ludhiana has a vibrant sporting culture with immense passion among youth. He shared that watching live cricket is an exciting and engaging experience. He also appreciated the efforts of team managers, players, and sponsors for making the tournament a grand success.
