Principals' Association welcomes implementation of UGC pay scales

Jalandhar, September 24, 2022: Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and President Principals' Association of Non Government Colleges Affiliated to GNDU has lauded the decision made by Punjab government to implement recommendations of 7th UGC  Pay Commission for Universities and colleges of the state.

In a  press statement Dr. Samra expresed his thanks towards the government for accepting this long awaited demand of the teachers,  and said that that step would lead to promotion of Higher Education in the state. He said that issuing of notifications regarding the teacher  recruitment in government colleges and regarding  the guest faculty of these colleges would definitely serve the cause of higher  education in Punjab. He appealed to the government to issue the  notification regarding the implementation of UGC  pay scale at the earliest.
