Jalandhar, December 16, 2021: The Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Senior IAS officer Mr Hussan Lal visited Lovely Professional University (LPU) campus, today, where he inaugurated a seven-day ‘Research Grant Proposal Writing Workshop’. The occasion was inaugural session of the mega workshop where top 70 researchers are participating. All of them are enthusiastic to bring prosperous growth to the state and the country through result-oriented research projects.

Senior IAS officer and renowned as an able administrator in all fields; 1995-batch IAS officer, Mr Hussan Lal held the post of principal secretary of ‘Investment Promotion, Industries and Commerce and Information Technology departments, before the current portfolio.

Addressing the researchers at the Conference Hall of the university, Principal Secretary Mr Hussan Lal mentioned emphatically: “Research is very important to take a lead. People of the country and the state are competitive to the world.” Counting down various coveted opportunities meted out to him by the government, including Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, the Guest suggested that, “we all need to work hard together and keep competing with the top countries of the world.” In this regard, voicing high words for the university management in having progressive ideas, he wished that the seven days of the workshop would bring a lot of good outcomes.  

Before this, while welcoming the high profiled officer at the campus, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal applauded him for his dynamic service to the nation and the state. He especially quoted about the COVID pandemic phase in the state, which he managed diligently to cast aside the severity of the situation. Mr Mittal anticipated many more exemplary positive outcomes under his care in the state. He further apprised that the workshop would be much helpful to the state and the country by being able to win several people benefitting research projects from the top funding agencies.
