Prime Video in collaboration with Kitty Su and the Keshav Suri Foundation hosted a Special Screening of the Unscripted Series, Rainbow Rishta

Streaming on Prime Video, Rainbow Rishta is a unique and unfiltered window into the lives of a few members from the LGBTQIA+ community. Following six inspiring and heartwarming stories of love, resilience, freedom, and so much more, the series has been amassing much appreciation, and acclaim from audiences around the world. 

Receiving an overwhelming response at the premiere of the series at the prestigious Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, the series opened to rave reviews from critics and audience alike, garnering commendation for its unabashed approach to queer stories, and giving them the center stage, while intricately showcasing their journey of love, trials, courage, and triumphs with utmost honesty. 

Celebrating the love, Prime Video in collaboration with Kitty Su and Keshav Suri Foundation hosted a special screening of Rainbow Rishta for members of the community as well as family and friends at The Lalit, which was also attended by the series director - Jaydeep Sarkar, story directors - Hridaye A Nagpal, Shubhra Chatterji and Aishwarya Ayushmaan aka Lush Monsoon.

Keshav Suri, Executive Director- The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, has been the foremost patron of the LGBTQIA+ community and a firm believer of responsible entrepreneurship, working with several NGOs and activists to help mainstream marginalized communities. Talking about the series, he said “We were so honored to host the screening of Rainbow Rishta not only because the show is a celebration of love, but because our very special Lush Monsoon played such a pivotal role in it. It was a pleasure speaking with the directors and cast, and seeing our community represented on screen not just in black and white, but in every shade of the rainbow. Thanking Kitty Su and the Keshav Suri Foundation for their hospitality and the tireless work to further the empowerment and representation of the community, series director, Jaydeep Sarkar said “Rainbow Rishta’s screening at The Lalit was a homecoming for me, the crew and the cast. This is where the first recce of the show was done. The Kitty Su in Mumbai was where we shot the first schedule of the show with precious Lush Monsoon! And through the making of Rainbow Rishta, Mr. Keshav Suri and his wonderful team at The Lalit have supported and enabled us, at every step.” He further added “Watching the show with Mr. Suri and the crew of the Lalit was special for us because the Lalit is not just a location but a character in the show. The Lalit is one of the only places that embodies queer joy and we could feel the love and the laughter and joy in the room, like we have never experienced before. It’s a feeling I want to bottle up and keep with me forever!”
