Grewal wrote on his social media platform X that Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda a distinguished 1997 batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre has rendered more than 28 years of unblemished courageous and visionary service across Arunachal Pradesh Delhi and Chandigarh always upholding the highest traditions of integrity discipline and public duty. Grewal said that during his tenure as Superintendent of Police in West Siang Arunachal Pradesh Dr. Hooda displayed remarkable courage and leadership by dismantling an insurgent backed extortion network thereby strengthening peace rule of law and public confidence in the security system.
Grewal told that during his distinguished service in Delhi Police as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Hooda conceptualised and implemented the pathbreaking “PARIVARTAN” initiative dedicated to enhancing the safety dignity and empowerment of women and children which earned international acclaim including the prestigious Webber Seavey Award from the International Association of Chiefs of Police Washington DC reflecting global recognition of his innovative and humane approach to policing.
He said that in his subsequent responsibilities as Deputy Commissioner Joint Commissioner and Special Commissioner of Police in Delhi Dr. Hooda successfully supervised several high profile investigations effectively managed complex law and order situations and ensured flawless security arrangements for major national and international events including the historic G20 Summit 2023 demonstrating extraordinary leadership strategic vision and unwavering dedication to national security and public safety.
