‘Prerna Di Pathshala’ initiative launched to promote moral education among school students

Ferozepur, July 21, 2026: In a significant step towards promoting holistic development, moral values and quality education among students, the District Education Officer (Secondary), Ferozepur, Munila Arora, has launched a special initiative titled “Prerna Di Pathshala.” The programme has been conceptualized by Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr Satinder Singh and will be implemented across all government schools in the district.
Addressing the gathering, DEO Munila Arora said that the true purpose of education is not limited to imparting academic knowledge but also to nurturing individuals with strong character, ethical values and a sense of responsibility. She emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving digital and highly competitive world, students need to be connected with values such as honesty, tolerance, sensitivity, social responsibility and practical life skills.
She said that education can achieve its real purpose only when it is accompanied by good values and moral guidance, enabling students to emerge as responsible citizens and better human beings.
Providing details about the initiative, National Awardee and Deputy District Education Officer Dr Satinder Singh said that under “Prerna Di Pathshala”, an inspirational article focusing on moral education, life values, personality development, social awareness, discipline and quality education will be shared with all government schools every Wednesday.
School heads and teachers will discuss these articles during morning assemblies, special activities and classroom interactions so that students can imbibe positive values, develop confidence and cultivate a constructive outlook towards life.
Dr Singh said the initiative aims not only to help students excel academically but also to equip them to face life’s challenges, make informed decisions and understand their responsibilities towards society. He added that the campaign would help create a school environment where knowledge, values, humanity, cooperation and mutual respect receive equal importance.
Appealing to school heads, teachers and educationists to actively support the initiative, Dr Singh remarked that while knowledge leads to success, values lead to greatness. He expressed confidence that “Prerna Di Pathshala” would emerge as an effective platform for strengthening character building, value-based education and the overall development of students.
