Preparations of 'Bharangam' and 'Sarang' are in full swing at DLC SUPVA

Preparations are in full swing at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) for the 25th edition of Bharat Rang Mahotsav (Bharangam) and the university's own festival 'Sarang'. Both festivals will start from February 9th, and separate committees have been formed for these. Duties have been assigned to students and staff to make these festivals memorable.

Rohtak, February 5, 2026: Preparations are in full swing at Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) for the 25th edition of Bharat Rang Mahotsav (Bharangam) and the university's own festival 'Sarang'. Both festivals will start from February 9th, and separate committees have been formed for these. Duties have been assigned to students and staff to make these festivals memorable.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that a stage is being set up in the courtyard of the FTV Department for 'Sarang'. Performances will be held on this stage from February 9, from 11 AM to 5 PM. Along with students of DLC SUPVA, glimpses of folk art and culture from other states will also be showcased.

VC Dr. Arya mentioned that 'Bharangam' will be organized in the mini auditorium of the FTV Department, where people can enjoy theatre from 6 PM onwards. Different teams will present their performances here for four days. These teams are coming from Punjab, Delhi, and Sri Lanka. 'Bharangam' is being organized by the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi, in collaboration with DLC SUPVA.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya said that being a university of Performing and Visual Arts, it is our moral responsibility to preserve theatre and other folk arts. Our effort is also to encourage those who have continuously contributed to keeping theatre alive or have played a role in preserving it in some way. He said that for the successful organization of the ‘Bharangam’ and ‘Sarang’ festivals, 28 different committees of DLC SUPVA staff have been formed. The work has been divided among these committees, which includes Welcome Committee, Display Committee, Rangoli and Lamp Lighting Committee, Food and Catering Committee, Technical Committee, Audio, Light and Projection Committee, Media Committee, Guest Coordination Committee, Anchoring Committee, Stage Decoration Committee, Help Desk Committee etc.
