In today’s fast-paced world, it’s rare to see someone chase two big dreams at the same time and do justice to both. But that’s exactly what Gauri Shelgaonkar, who plays Gauri in Sun Neo’s Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani, is doing. While winning hearts on-screen with her performance, she is also pursuing her dream of studying law, and striking a balance between these two demanding worlds with sheer dedication.

Talking about how she manages both, Gauri shares, “Managing both acting and law studies has truly been one of the toughest yet most rewarding challenges of my life. Since the law demands regular attendance and in-depth understanding, I make sure to utilise every break I get from shoots to attend college. My teachers are supportive, they already knew about my work because most of them had seen my previous show, and even my friends recognised me from TV. At first, it was very overwhelming. There were days when I couldn’t get leave from shoots, and college required me to be present at the same time. But somehow, with determination, I managed my exams, assignments, internals, projects, and even the demanding moot courts. Sometimes, I’d spend the first half of the day in college and rush to Goregaon for shoots of my ongoing Sun Neo’s show in the evening, making sure I never lost an entire day.”

She further adds, “Balancing these two prestigious worlds isn’t easy, but it has taught me the value of discipline and time management. I often carry my books to the set between shots I’m studying, and after pack-up, I dedicate at least an hour before bed to revising. It does get exhausting, but the sense of fulfilment keeps me going. Acting gives me a platform to express myself creatively, while law challenges me intellectually. Together, they balance each other out and push me to grow every single day.”
