Ludhiana, July 13, 2022: As part of series of events planned under its anti-drug mass awareness drive, the district administration organized poster making and slogan writing competitions in various educational institutions on Wednesday. 

A poster making and slogan writing event was held at Kishori Lal Jethi Government Senior Secondary School, Khanna. Hundreds of students enthusiastically participated in the competitions and later top three were honoured by SDM Khanna Manjeet Kaur.

Addressing the students, SDM Manjeet Kaur said that the district administration had already waged a war against the drug abuse and every required step would be taken to eliminate the menace. She said that these events were aimed to raise the awareness about drug trafficking among the youth so that the problem could be wiped out completely. She exhorted the youth to work shoulder to shoulder with the government against the drug abuse to make a drug free society.

Likewise, a poster making competition was also held at Ramgarhia Girls College. A team of theatre department of Punjabi University, Patiala also performed Nukad Natak on ill-effects of drugs among youth.
