The Punjabi Language Development Center of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized a poster-making competition among the students related to the mother tongue Punjabi.

Jalandhar, November 12, 2022: The Punjabi Language Development Center of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized a poster-making competition among the students related to the mother tongue Punjabi. Students of different classes participated in these competitions. Among the toppers in the competitions, the first place was won by Jaspreet Kaur MA Punjabi 3rd Semester and Hardeep Kaur BA 5th Semester, Disha Vij and Sahil BA 5th Semester won second and Lovepreet Kaur MA 1st Semester Punjabi and Karandeep Singh BA 5th Semester won the third prize. 

In his message Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra said that we are fully committed to the development of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat. He said that Khalsa College encourages such activities by all means. Certificates were distributed to the winning students by Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Jasreen Kaur. 

Speaking on this occasion, she said that of course today Punjabi language has made its mark at the world level but at the same time it is also facing huge challenges due to which we should continue to do such activities which help students develop love for our mother tongue. 

Coordinator of the Center Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra said that with such competitions we can make an entrepreneurial contribution to its development by connecting the students with the mother tongue Punjabi. 
Prof. Kuldeep Sodhi and Prof. Sonia played the role of judges in these competitions. 

On this occasion, Dr. Surinderpal Mand, Head of Punjabi Department, Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Prof. Balraj Singh and Prof. Preeti were also present.
