Poster-Making and Calligraphy Competition on Guru Ravidas Ji’s Teachings Held at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, August 31, 2026: P.G. Department of English, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, in collaboration with Dean CDC, GNDU, Amritsar, and Government of Punjab, organized a Poster-Making and Calligraphy Competition on the theme “Teachings and Life of Guru Ravidas Ji”.
The students from undergraduate and post-graduate classes participated. The beautiful posters and calligraphy stand a testimony to the relevance of the simple yet effective philosophy of saints like Sri Guru Ravidas Ji as a unifying message of brotherhood and equality. Students were brilliant in the colourful posters and displayed a deeper understanding of the message spread by Guru Ravidas Ji in the calligraphy.
The event aimed to promote harmony and equality amongst the students, as they are the precursors of our future society. Today’s event proved that our youth, if channelised in a positive direction, can work wonders towards enriching our society with the wisdom of the saints.
On this occasion, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, gave away the prizes to the winners. He was accompanied by the Head of English Department, Dr. Balraj Kaur, the Convenor of the competition, Dr. Manju Joshi, and the staff members, Dr. Manmeet Sodhi and Dr. Geetanjali Mahajan. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu congratulated the winners of the competition.
