Police Training College Daroh in Himachal gets first position in country: Dr Atul Phulzhel

Dharamshala: Dr. Atul Phulzele (IPS), Principal, HP Police Training College, Daroh, informed that Himachal Pradesh Police Training College, Daroh in Himachal Pradesh, has got first place in India, in the field of training. He said, “The College has made Himachal Pradesh proud by securing first position in the country.”

He said that the evaluation results of the training level of the police training institutes of the country was declared by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, in which this institute has been declared number one in the country to provide the basic training for the year 2018-19.  He added that in the year 2017-18, this institute was adjudged first to train non-gazetted officer grade-1 in North India. He said, “earlier in the year 2015-16 also, this institute was declared the top in India in providing basic training to police persons.”

Expressing happiness over this success, Dr. Phulzele said that the credit for the success goes to the State Director General of Police and all the officers, trainers and assistant trainers working in this training center with whose interest, dedication and hard work, have given this training institute a top position in national level.

He said, “This institute was established on 25 July 1995 near Palampur in Kangra District and is celebrating its  Silver Jubilee this year and will establish its new identity at national and international level in the coming times.”

Dr. Phulzele thanked Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and State Director General of Police Sanjay Kandu, for their continued cooperation and sport to uplift the institute.

He said, “This institute will be awarded a trophy and an amount of 22 lakh rupees by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for this success.”
