Gurugram, Sep 6 (IANS) The Haryana Police will set up feedback cells at all Police Commissioner's offices across the state to take feedback from the complainant.

If the complainant is not satisfied with the police action, then appropriate action would be taken by the police after knowing the reason for the dissatisfaction.

This was announced by Shatrujit Kapoor, Director General of Police (DGP), Haryana, while chairing a meeting with the officials of the Gurugram police on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the DGP clearly said that the common man should not face any kind of problem.

He added that along the lines of (RAF -- Rapid Action Force), five companies have been formed at the district level to take prompt action on law and order and odd situations.

Apart from this, a SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team has also been formed. If necessary, a police team of good shooters will also be formed to use plastic bullets, etc., which will be deployed with these companies.

"Complaints received by the police through any means should be heard, and all complaints should be disposed of without delay," the DGP asserted.

He said that police should adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and moral turpitude.

For more efficient policing, Station House Officers (SHOs) and the police post-Incharge will make a panel of community liaison groups/retired officers/employees at the zone level. Retired officers of the Police, Revenue and CBI, etc., departments should be kept in this group/panel.

The State Police Chief also directed that 'Know Your Case Program' should be run to give information about the current status of the case to the victim in the complaint/prosecution.

"Police assistance should be provided immediately on information received regarding crimes against women. About crimes against women, make sure to settle pending cases by taking immediate action. Make sure to mark the tampering spots and deploy a fixed police force at such places," he added.

"Police will make every possible effort to prevent crimes and will adopt zero tolerance policy and other special campaigns on topics related to the working style of the police," Vikas Arora, Gurugram Police Commissioner said.
