Police DAV School wins Mirchi 2020 Young Masterminds at CT Group

Jalandhar: Out of 48 schools across Punjab, Police DAV School bags the title of Mirchi 2020 Young Masterminds: a state level quiz competition organised by CT Group, Evergreen Publications and 98.3 FM Radio Mirchi in the Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium of CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus. The quiz master remained International host Barry O’Brein, who has decades of experience in this field.


The 48 schools included teams from Punjab like Sanskriti KMV, Jalandhar; CT Public School, Maqsudan; MGN Public School, Urban Estate; Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School; MGN Adarsh Nagar; Police DAV Public School; Apeejay School; Sri Guru Harkrishan School, Amritsar; BCM Ludhiana and Lord Mahavir Jain, Phagwara etc.

After the written test, top 12 teams competed in different rounds of Science, Technology, History, Geography and Entertainment etc. Out of these, 6 teams namely Army Public School, BCM Arya School, Cambridge International, Police DAV School, Appejay School and Holy Heart School contested for the final round.

Police DAV School bagged first position along with cash prize worth Rs. 1, 00,000 whereas Army Public School and BCM Arya School, Ludhiana bagged second and third positions along with Rs. 51.000 and Rs. 31,000 respectively.
The team from Radio Mirchi anchored the stage.

CT Group Chairman Charanjit S Channi and Managing Director Manbir Singh congratulated the winning teams and said that these types of quiz competitions and literary events are quite necessary for honing intellectual skills of young students.
