Ludhiana, December 30, 2013: Police claimed to have busted the flesh trade racket allegedly running in a house in Joshi Nagar in the Haibowal area on Sunday evening.
As per the available information, police have arrested eight persons, including two men and six women. Besides, the police have also arrested the kingpin, a woman. Of the accused, two were the customers, the police said.
Police conducted a raid following a tip-off from the area residents. The raiding party was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Raj Kumar Jilhotra.
The arrested females were between the age group of 20-25. These girls were allegedly hired by the kingpin. A customer was charged between Rs.1500-Rs.2000.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Immoral Trafficking Act.
Further police investigation is on.
